Our passions
We are on a mission to prevent ill mental health and avoidable mental suffering. We want to encourage everyone from all walks of life, to have a weekly Therapeutic Hour. The same way we look after our body, appearance, entertainment and social needs, is the same way we need to look after our minds.
This is vital as our mental wellbeing determines our ability to function altogether. We are bridging gaps and breaking stigmas, making mental wellbeing a priority for our nation. Ending our mental health crisis is not a job just for government, it requires each and every one of us to make a change. The Therapeutic Hour makes this simple, accessible and enjoyable; with our 3 easy steps.
We are here to raise awareness on mental health related issues, whilst reaching vulnerable and excluded populations; regarding appropriate, accessible and relatable mental health interventions. The Therapeutic Hour helps prevent unnecessary trauma for all.
We believe everyone should have a Therapeutic Listener and a weekly Therapeutic Hour, to prevent the development and escalation of ill mental health.
We all need gentle and consistent help to stay on top of our emotions, thoughts, behaviours and situations; which we all know interact with one another. To address and recognise simple, common things that cause us difficulties, and often link to our emotional regulation. To aid self-awareness of common issues which have negative consequences on our minds, bodies and souls; i.e. anxiety and depression, avoidant or reactive behaviours, addictive or self-harming traits, patterns of thinking and behaving...
There are many easily addressed things that cause us so much turmoil and pain because we’re not equipped with the skills to intervene at an earlier stage, and don’t have the safe spaces to address issues - our true feelings and state of mind, in a safe, non-judgemental space. A time to reflect, grow and become aware of simple things we can do to have better quality life overall, due to increased mental wellbeing.
Our team of Psychotherapists and mental health professionals give expert advice based on their years of professional and personal experience. We give free guidance online and in-sessions.
Prevention
Both government and public opinion quite rightly is that prevention is the true cure. But what are we actually doing about this?
We talk a lot about mental health interventions for those who are suffering or been through trauma, and have charities which try to help bridge the gap for this. But what about those who are behind the cause of peoples suffering and mental health issues. What about preventing traumas? Mental health breakdowns, which lead to the destroying of relationships, loss of jobs and dreams, addictions, homelessness and even the committing of crimes.
We believe we are all born with a clean and pure slate. Something, somewhere goes wrong for those who chose to hurt others, or idealise and partake in sadistic or harmful things that go on to ruin lives and the mental health of others.
Imagine a world where we don’t allow this to happen in the first place because we have the right interventions in place to ensure that we are all individually supported, and our minds are developing healthily with the scientifically proven ingredients it needs. Just look at Psychology; Maslow’s famous hierarchy of needs: stability, security, social connection, self-esteem…to be loved, have belonging, opportunities for personal growth…
We aim to educate, encourage and support in every possible way, starting with our mental wellbeing. Whilst creating safe spaces across the nation for people to come and be their authentic selves, and opening a centre for hope, entertainment, refuge and support. Where a genuine ‘how are you’ can be met with a real and raw answer. This should not and cannot be just a dream or a vision for a better future, to have these real, supportive and diverse environments accessible to all in our world.
We can make it happen today and all do our part to create a better, healthier world. You shouldn’t have to go into a church to have the opportunity to receive support for your spiritual wellbeing, try prayer for a desperate situation, or hear a message that brings hope for better days. We aim to provide that support to everyone right where they are, remote and direct in communities; to find connection, hope, belonging and direction in how to live without mental health holding us back.
We conducted a survey in 2024 and all respondents agreed with the following statement: ‘There is a wealth of mental health advice online, but no practical support to safely put it into practice’.
Providing Hope – Why Spiritual Listeners and resources
Generally we live in a hopeless nation; we are used to hearing constant doom and gloom in the media, and let’s be honest… many of our life’s realities are truly tough regardless of status or fortune. Our new normal worldwide has become continual trials and suffering, which for many of us in places of isolation too. To make this worse, we are generally told there is no hope. In Britain for example, a ‘Christian nation’ to which theres a large consensus in the media nowadays that there is no hope for better days - no God and no Saviour for us; no one watching over and protecting us. But what if this isn’t true?
There are 2.38 Billion, Christians in the world - not to mention the passionate authors and friends of Jesus who were compelled to consistently record His acts and events during Roman history; with countless stories and testimonies of how God (or a miraculous ‘unexplainable and unknown deity’) has intervened and changed the impossible to possible. Countless interjections of hope in a seemingly hopeless situation.
As founder, I am one of the people who has experienced this firsthand, and it is the very reason you are reading this now. We want to revive hope in our nation by using the living word of God to bring comfort to those in need. A simple scripture reminding us we all have a purpose, or are of great worth. Even if you don’t believe in God, why not benefit from having these wholesome words as a reminder that regardless of your beliefs, you truly are chosen for a specific purpose, loved and have worth. We don’t want to offend or even challenge those with differing beliefs or try to indoctrinate the world. We simply want everyone to know that there is hope, and this suffering that we have all experienced - though we may not always understand it; good can and will come out of it - if we turn back to allowing God the opportunity to be our friend and comforter.
John 15 vs 13-15.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business.”
For Christians, we know there is an adversary out there who wants to stop us from succeeding in life and trying to do good in the world. We aim to create a simple and faith-based support that you can add to prayer, fasting and other biblical interventions, to see lasting change in situations that need change regarding mental health. To strengthen our walks of faith, and be better prepared for times of trials and testing’s - which we all go through regardless of faith.
If we all as a nation have the right education, the right consistent support… no one should ever have the chance to fall or suffer alone.
The time for real and lasting change starts now. Let’s make a difference, 1 hour at a time.
